May you walk this new road With me, whispering all the while Words of encouragement and Guiding me all the way as I Venture forth on this journey.
Siobhan Mc Guinness was born in Meelick, Swinford on November 1969. She is the second oldest in a family of seven — five brothers and one sister. She was educated locally and went on to study English and Sociology & Politics. On her graduation, she started her career as a Secondary School Teacher of English and R.E. at St. Joseph’s College Summerhill, Athlore. 28 years later, she is still teaching in the same campus but with a new set of colleagues from St. Aloysius College. The school was renamed Coláiste Chiaráin in 2017, and she is delighted to be part of that amazing school. She recently qualified as a teacher of students with SEN and this has given her renewed enthusiasm and energy for her role as an educator. Siobhan is also a mother of four amazing children — two adult sons, one teenage son and a daughter on the cusp of adolescence. In her spare time, she spends a lot of time writing. This book, hopefully one of many, is the culmination of many years of musing, laughing, reflecting, writing, crying and smiling. Siobhan hopes that the readers enjoy and, perhaps, take some comfort from it as you sit back, relax and enjoy.
